I got the chance to Hang out with Chris this past winter for an afternoon. What I saw amazed me. Not only is Chris into building boards but he is a prolific artist who nonstop burns custom designs on any piece of wood he can get his hands on.

We are posting information about independent skateboard builders on this site. Included are long board, street deck builders and a new Artists section. There is also an area that lists schools and youth groups that are running skateboard building programs.

If you are an independent builder or artist and would like to be included in this list, please email me with information about yourself, your website and your email address. Include some pictures of your decks, your builds and describe the building techniques you most often use. The process of building decks listed here is varied from two part molds to vacuum bagging. Show us your stuff!

We will also host a Builder of the Month on this site. Each month a featured skateboard builder is highlighted.

Norah and I spent a Sunday with Paul on his family run farm which is located in Southern Ontario, Canada around Langton. We got to meet his wife, young son and two cats while we were there. We were treated to lunch, a walk around his woodworking shop and a look at his large stockpile of domestic woods.
